Welcome to Agnes Bakery, an endeavour inspired by our fascination and love of the intuitive, ancient processes that come from cooking with fire, first lit at our eponymous Fortitude Valley restaurant; Agnes. The site is nestled in a heritage-listed cottage on the sunshine-filled corner of James Street and Harcourt Street in New Farm. The stunning interiors are designed by local architects Richards and Spence.

Alongside some bakery favourites - one of the concepts we have started to explore more is how this use of fire applies to working with ancient and sustainably grown grains, and how it can add to the complexity of flavours in sourdough and pastries, both sweet and savoury. On top of this, we wanted to provide people with the opportunity to enjoy some of the food we serve at Agnes. restaurant, within a casual setting. Coffee from a local roaster is served, the forever friend to the mid-morning pastry.

We’ve collated a list of frequently asked questions to help our friendly customers out.
